336edits quotes Reed on committing to Davidson:

Q: Why did you choose Davidson?

A: "I chose them cause of Coach McKillop’s track record and just their overall history first of all. I also think it’s the best place for me to grow and develop. Being able to arrive on campus and get in game experience as soon as possible was another big factor for me. I know they are big on playing through mistakes and letting their freshman play. With that being said I still realize the amount of work I have to put in to be able to be given this privilege. It just felt like the overall best fit for me and my career."

Q: How does it feel to go to a school like Davidson where Stephen Curry attended?

A: "It feels awesome. One of the goals I’ve set for myself is to make it into the NBA. Seeing someone like Steph come out of Davidson and becoming a household name is amazing and motivating. It shows that anyone can really put the work in and make it to their goals. That’s something I’ll be looking to do while I’m at Davidson."

Q: What type of role does Coach McKilliop see you playing your freshman year?

A: "Coach McKilliop has shown me a lot of film of Payton Aldridge who was a 2,000 point 4 year player for them. He believes and I believe I could be somewhat similar in that I could work up to becoming a focal player in their system. Like any school I’ll need to go in and prove to him as well as me teammates that I have the ability and will to do this. Being a freshman at a school where there are plenty of mature and very skilled players I’ll have to put in the work and make an impact in anyway I can."

Q: What are some of your goals for your senior season?

A: "To help my team win a National Prep Championship. Some of my individual goals are to be 215 lbs by the end of the year. Shoot 40% from three and average 8 rebounds a game."
